The paper quality is way better than I expected for an art book, and each page feels like a tiny gallery visit. I've flipped through it three times already and keep finding new details in the sculpture pieces.
I bought this for my brother who grew up on NES, and we spent a whole evening flipping through the pages pointing at our favorites. The paint pieces hit harder than the sculptures for me, but honestly the mix of over 80 artists keeps it from feeling repetitive.
The range of techniques here is wild — one page has a sculpted Mario, the next a watercolor Zelda scene. I've flipped through it three times already and keep noticing new details in the backgrounds.
