Spinning this on a rainy afternoon took me straight back to 1998. The 2xLP cut is clean and there's basically no surface noise, even on the quieter tracks.
The gatefold art alone is worth it — they kept the original character illustrations and the 2xLP set sounds warm with almost no surface noise out of the sleeve. Spinning the overworld theme took me straight back to my N64 days.
The gatefold jacket is sturdier than I expected and the two records sit flat with no warping. Only gripe is that side C has a bit of surface noise on the quieter tracks, but the orchestral pieces still sound warm.
